MOBILE, Ala. (July 10, 2024) – The Mobile Airport Authority is excited to announce the launch of BuildBFM.com, a dedicated website designed to keep the public informed about the ongoing construction of the new terminal and parking garage at Mobile International Airport (BFM).
Scheduled to open in 2025, the new terminal will feature five gates, with the capacity to expand to twelve. The 1,250-space parking garage will enhance convenience for travelers and visitors. The project broke ground in December 2022 and is projected to be completed by late 2025 or early 2026. At that time, all commercial air service will transition from Mobile Regional Airport (MOB) to BFM.
Located just minutes from downtown Mobile and Baldwin County, the new terminal will provide improved accessibility and convenience for travelers, supporting regional growth and enhancing passenger experience.
